"Torre Bermeja" was published in the late 1880s as the final piece of Albéniz's 12 Piezas caracteristícas, Op. 92. Subtitled "serenata," this piece requires virtuosity and lyricism from the performer. The composer's phrasing slurs, articulations, dynamic markings, and other interpretive indications have been preserved in this edition.

The piece has been meticulously fingered for left and right hands. Once mastered, this transcription is wonderfully effective in performance. This transcription is among my favorite OrpheusOnFire publications.
